My nephew and I spent a whole rainy afternoon snapping this together, and the look on his face when the four-speed manual actually clicked into reverse was priceless. It's sturdy enough that he hasn't broken it yet, which says a lot.
The four-speed manual with reverse actually clicks through every gear with a satisfying snap—my kid and I rebuilt it three times already. It’s way more engaging than any static model we’ve tried, and the transmission really functions, not just for show.
The snap-together build is surprisingly satisfying, and actually getting reverse to engage after I finished the four-speed gearbox gave me a real sense of accomplishment. It’s a solid little engineering project that doesn’t need a single tool.
